Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information Sabbir BD collects when you visit this website or work with me, how it is used, and the control you have over it.
Introduction
Sabbir BD (“I”, “me”, “my”) operates this website as an independent logo and brand identity design studio based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is handled across the website, my contact forms, and the design services I provide to clients.
By using this website or engaging my services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the site.
Information We Collect
I aim to collect the minimum amount of information needed to respond to enquiries and deliver design work.
Information you provide voluntarily
- Contact details — your name, email address, phone number or messaging handle when you submit the contact form or reach out directly.
- Project information — brand briefs, requirements, budget range, reference files and any assets you share so a project can be scoped and delivered.
- Correspondence — the content of emails, messages and call notes exchanged during an enquiry or active project.
- Feedback — testimonials, reviews or comments you choose to submit for publication.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — browser type, device category, operating system, screen size and referring page, used to keep the site compatible and stable.
- Usage data — pages viewed, approximate session duration and navigation paths, in aggregated form.
- Approximate location — country or city level only, derived from your IP address. I do not collect precise GPS location.
I do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of data such as government identification numbers, health records, biometric data, or full payment card details. Please do not send this information through the website or email.
How We Use Information
Information is used strictly for legitimate, clearly defined purposes:
- Responding to enquiries — answering your questions, preparing quotations and scheduling calls.
- Delivering services — producing design work, sharing drafts, collecting feedback and handing over final files.
- Administration — issuing invoices, maintaining project records and meeting bookkeeping obligations.
- Improving the website — understanding which content is useful and fixing usability or performance issues.
- Occasional updates — sending project news or availability notices, only where you have opted in. Every message includes an unsubscribe option.
- Security and legal compliance — preventing spam and abuse, and responding to lawful requests.
Your information is never sold, rented or traded to third parties for advertising purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing
Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, processing relies on one of the following grounds:
- Contract — processing needed to prepare or fulfil a design agreement with you.
- Consent — where you have actively opted in, for example to newsletters or non-essential cookies. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
- Legitimate interests — running and securing a small design practice, provided your rights are not overridden.
- Legal obligation — retaining financial records or complying with a lawful order.
Cookies & Tracking
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site uses them sparingly:
- Essential cookies — required for core functions such as security, form submission and remembering your light or dark theme preference.
- Preference cookies — remember choices you make so the site feels consistent on return visits.
- Analytics cookies — help measure aggregate traffic patterns. These are only set where analytics is enabled and permitted.
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect how parts of the site function.
Third-Party Services
To run this website and deliver projects I rely on a small number of reputable providers, each of which processes data under its own privacy terms:
- Hosting and infrastructure — to serve the website and store its database securely.
- Email and form delivery — to receive and reply to your enquiries.
- File sharing and collaboration tools — to exchange design drafts and final deliverables.
- Analytics — to review anonymised traffic trends where enabled.
- Payment processors — to handle invoicing. Payment details are entered directly with the provider; I never see or store your full card or bank credentials.
These providers may only use your data to perform services on my behalf, not for their own independent marketing.
Data Retention
Information is kept only as long as it serves a purpose. Enquiries that do not lead to a project are generally removed within twelve months. Active client records, contracts and completed project files are retained for the duration of the engagement and afterwards where needed for support, portfolio rights or legal and tax requirements. You may request earlier deletion at any time, subject to records I am legally required to keep.
Data Security
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are in place to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on accounts and devices, strong authentication, regular software updates and routine backups. Files are shared through protected links rather than public locations.
No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. While I work hard to protect your data, absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Please avoid sending confidential credentials by email.
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may exercise the following rights over your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the information held about you.
- Correction — ask for inaccurate or incomplete details to be updated.
- Deletion — request removal of your data where there is no ongoing legal or contractual need to keep it.
- Restriction and objection — ask that processing be limited, or object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Portability — receive your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — opt out of marketing messages or non-essential cookies at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@sabbirbd.com. Requests are normally answered within 30 days, and verification of your identity may be requested before information is released.
Children’s Privacy
This website and my services are intended for business owners and adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, please contact me and it will be deleted promptly.
International Transfers
I work with clients worldwide, and the providers supporting this website may store or process data on servers located outside Bangladesh. Where information is transferred internationally, I take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected by appropriate contractual and technical safeguards.
External Links
Some pages link to external websites, social profiles or client projects. Those destinations operate independently and are governed by their own privacy policies. I am not responsible for the content or data practices of any third-party site, so please review their terms before sharing information.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in my services, technology or legal requirements. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Significant changes affecting how your data is used will be communicated directly to active clients where practical. Continued use of the site after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
